Beta program for testers willing to share feedback

Do you want to help test NaviFin?

If you do, and you are willing to share what you find, we would love to have you on the test group. NaviFin is built by one person in Belgrade; every bug you flag, every weird interaction you notice, every “this should work like this instead” thought ends up shaping the next release.

What we are looking for:

• Real-world server setups (Jellyfin on a Pi, NAS, VPS, behind a reverse proxy, with Cloudflare Access headers, with custom domains, with self-signed certs, over Tailscale).
• Real-world Apple device mixes (older iPhones, M-series iPads, Intel Macs, Apple Silicon Macs, Apple TV HD / 4K).
• Real-world libraries (small, huge, 4K HDR, exotic containers like MKV and HEVC, surround audio, embedded and external subtitles, foreign-script metadata, Live TV, music).
• Honest reactions. “This menu confused me,” “I expected X to happen,” “the spacing feels off here” are all useful. Bug reports and design taste both count.

How the program works

Apple TestFlight is the official channel. Joining is free, the only requirement is an Apple ID. Once you have the invite link, you install the TestFlight app from the App Store, tap the invite link, and the test builds appear there with a yellow dot next to the version number. Each build is good for 90 days, after which TestFlight prompts you to update.

You can leave the program at any time by opening TestFlight, tapping NaviFin, and choosing Stop Testing. We do not collect anything beyond the email address you sent us and the device crash / screenshot reports you choose to attach inside TestFlight.

What changes between TestFlight and App Store

NaviFin 1.0 is on the App Store. The beta is where the next version lives first: TestFlight builds of 1.1 ship frequently, ahead of the App Store, and carry the fixes and features that are being tested. Testers see what is being worked on and can say what they think before it reaches everyone. When a version is done it goes to the App Store, and the beta moves on to the next one.

Privacy

Your email goes only to me (Nenad). It is used to send you the TestFlight invite and to follow up on bugs you report. It is not added to a mailing list, not shared with any third party, and not retained after you ask to be removed. Anything you share inside TestFlight (crash logs, screenshots, comments) reaches Apple and then me. See the NaviFin Privacy Policy for what the app itself stores on your devices.

Questions about the beta

How do I join the NaviFin beta?

Open the public TestFlight link on the device you want to test on, install the TestFlight app if you do not have it, and accept. Or send one email to support@navifin.app to be on the tester list, and you get the invite and hear back about what you report.

Which devices can I test on?

Apple TV, Mac, iPad and iPhone, the same four platforms the App Store version covers, with iOS, iPadOS, macOS and tvOS 26 or later.

Is the beta free?

Yes. TestFlight builds are free while you are in the program. The App Store version is one $6.99 Universal Purchase.

What is in the beta right now?

Version 1.1, ahead of the App Store, with the fixes and features being tested for the next release. The tester notes on each build say exactly what changed and what is not yet proven.

How do I stop testing?

Open TestFlight, tap NaviFin and choose Stop Testing. Nothing about you is kept beyond the email you sent, and only if you sent one.

That is fine. The beta is free and public: join the beta on TestFlight and just watch your library, no obligation to report anything. The email sign-up is for people who genuinely enjoy poking at new builds and writing back about them. If you fall in either group, both are welcome.
